I have been a Catholic for the most of my life, and I attend church every Sunday, although ‘m guilty of skipping once in a while. Back in Hawaii, I used to attend St. Patric’s Church, and now here in Olympia, ‘m attending St. Michae’s Church. And yes, i’s my name, but I ai’t no saint.

I have spent the last 4-6 hours designing and coding this new layout (main site). Hope you like it, because this one is purely my own design. Yes, I used to borrow ideas from other websites before. / /
This new layout practically has no tables; therefore, this is a table-less layout. Only some of the contents page, such as poems page, have tables. It will be too much work to convert every page.
Anyway, this page is optimized for Internet Explorer and screen resolution of 1024 x 768 as it states on the bottom of the page. Netscape will work also, but the layout will look a little off.
By the way, this is my fifth design that I did so far, and I did the last three in last two months. I ca’t believe I did three designs in just a month! Well, I did’t like my previous designs for this site, but I like what I did for my journal site. 99% of it is my design. Yeah, I got the idea from another website, but they look totally different. ‘m sure going to keep this one . . . is’t the menu cool?
/ /
I have integrated my journal into my main site. When my journal site is accessed from my main site, the header and the menu are not displayed and uses different stylesheet. This was done by simple PHP if-else statements. Getting good, huh?
By the way, do you know how I can be listed in the first or second page of a search engine, such as Google, with the keywords “Michael Park”?
I think ‘m much more concerned about my pending Deep Brain Stimulation surgery on an unconscious level, because I had another dream where I was having an open heart surgery. I’s kind of funny, though. Continue reading ‘Open heart surgery’ »
I had a very pleasant dream this time. I was in between 5 and 10 years of age, and there was a sister figure named Elena who I got an impression from that she was one or two years older than I was and that she was from my fathe’s side. I also got the feeling that she and I were very close–that she was my sister. We were at a ranch running around in the “fields of gold.” There also was a shore nearby, and we played there, too.

I just did a search on Goolge with keywords “Michael Park weblog,” and my main website came up 5th on the first page and this site came up 7th place on the second page. So wha’s the big deal? Well, my site never came up at those places before, so 5th and 7th places sound pretty good to me!
So please link to me on your site for the search engines to better index mine . . . please
I just spent the last 2 hours or so blasting Meatloaf away and visiting other blogger’ websites after doing a minor modification to this page. Suddenly, I felt so pathetic, and a wave of sadness hits my heart. Here I am jobless, unnoticed, unrecognized, unloved, and friendless at an unfamiliar place. / / I need to get a job, but I have to wait another year or so if I go with the pending brain surgery. Another year of my life wasted, and I will be a year older and outdated.
Sometimes I wonder what I am good at–especially when there are so many youngsters out there with magnificent talents.
Well, boredom makes you think and reflect, which can be both good and bad. I’s the latter in my case, I think.
“Life Is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back.”
The layout of this page was a little off in Netscape because of how browsers handle pixels and CSS. So, I did a little research, and I wrote a small PHP script that detects the browser and “echoes” appropriate stylesheet. / /
‘m getting pretty self-sufficient with PHP ever since I installed b2. I find it very similar to other languages, such as C++ and ColdFusion. Believe it or not, I have a little programming background, so I catch on pretty quickly on these things.
Anyway, this page is now compatible with Netscape.
‘m not sure about other browsers, though . . . sorry
I do’t recall it too much, but I do remember a part where I was on the roof of a building with someone, probably my mother. ‘m not exactly sure if she was my mother, but she was assisting me from behind for me to walk around. Anyway, quite suddenly, I was running towards the edge of the building. Strangely, there were no barriers, and I could’t stop. / / Obviously, I jumped off the building, and I felt this sudden rush in my head. I think whoever she was jumped with me. Not too sure, though.
‘m having unusual dreams frequently these days. I guess ‘m concerned about the surgery and stuffs.
I finally got a haircut in about 2 months mainly because I did’t see the need for one, but since ‘m going to San Francisco pretty soon, I thought I would get “cleaned up.”
Anyway, I usually go to SuperCuts, but their finishing job is usually lousy. So, I went to a hair salon run by a Korean lady, and the haircut is pretty okay, though I do’t like how she styled it too much. However, she was being very rude. Not in words, but through body language. And I also got negative vibes from her. Granted, I got there at the closing time, but she was the one who told my mother that I could come at that time when the reservation was made. So wha’s the deal?
This is one of the reasons why I do’t like other Koreans–especially older generations.
