S. Korea now seems to be much better of a place to live for people with disabilities than 16 years ago when I left it to come to United States. I recently saw a Korean documentary entitled “We’re Lovers” of “Human Theater” on KBS which was basically about a 30-year-old quadriplegic guy and his girlfriend who are in love. Continue reading ‘S. Before we move to Oregon, my mother wants to take a trip to Vancouver, Canada… so we are leaving tomorrow morning for a 3-day 13-hour road trip. For the record, however, I’m not interested in sight-seeing as they are. I’m going along only becuse I can’t be home alone by myself. Ugh! :x Continue reading ‘Another road trip’ »

In this dream, I believe I was tested somehow… I was dropped off at some kind of an award ceremony in the middle of a desert. In the beginning, it was packed with people that I had to sit way in the back. There was Bill Murray acting out a skid with a couple of actors/actresses. Anyway, my mother came to pick me up near the end, so we went out to the parking lot; however, we couldn’t find our van anywhere. There was nothing but desert and some junkyard stuffs. I have been thinking about life today, and I have come up with the following six phases of life…

  1. From age 0 to 10 or so, your parents and grandparents are the most important people in your life.
  2. From age 11 to 20 or so, your friends are the most important people in your life.
  3. From age 21, or the day you move out and/or get married, to 30 or so, your significant other becomes the most important person in your life.
  4. From age 31, or the day your first child is born, to 50 or so, your children become the most important people in your life.
  5. From age 51 to 61 or so, your grandchildren become the most important person in your life.
  6. From age 61, or when your grandchildren become teenagers, you become the most important person in your life.

I think 2 years is my limit. It’s been almost 2 years since I graduated from University of Hawaii, which I dearly miss, and my life has become utterly dull. It’s worsened lately — nothing to joy or even complain about. I don’t even feel like blogging, either — obviously.

So I will be blogging on and off. I will only blog things of the essence.

I wasn’t going to see the movie “Hellboy” mainly because it’s based on a comic book, but it turned out to be pretty good with a decent plot, humor, and especially its awesome special effects. However, I left the theater with an empty feeling — there was something missing. It’s the main point of the movie that’s missing, and the ending makes it worse. It’s worth the time and money nonetheless.

I will give it a B. :)
