If you can’t access certain web sites, see if they are listed in the HOSTS file (with no extension). Apparently, web site addresses listed in there are banned and/or considered as advertisement sites. In Windopws XP Pro, that file is located under “C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc” directory which should be opened with Notepad. It’s a “read-only” file, so you should change that first.

I can now access classmates.com. :)

The Day After Tomorrow” is fearfully realistic in depicting what could really happen to us if we continue to misuse our planet, and its special effects are so awesome that I couldn’t shut my mouth! However, I felt something was missing, though I’m not sure what it is.

I will give it a B+. :)

If you are in Cincinnati, check out Current Communications. It’s better than Cable and DSL, because download/upload speeds are the same. Hope it expands to the West soon. :)

I just called Verizon at 800-567-6789, and after about 15 minutes on hold, I got the free speed upgrade. So my connection speed will be at 1.5Mbps (download)/386Kbps (upload) sometime tomorrow. Yay! :D

Update: “Estimated DSL Service Ready Date [for the upgrade] — 05/28/2004 after 6pm”. Shucks… :|

I have been trying to connect my Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Router (BEFSR41) with my new Wireless-B Router (BEFW11S4-VN) for the last 2 days without success. According to its knowledge base, one only need to disable the DHCP Server of the second router; however, the second router was unable to establish a working connection with the USB Network Adapter (WUSB11-VN) on the second computer that way, more so with the WEP Security enabled.

I recommend getting a separate Access Point if you want to expand your network.

An old friend — Christine D. — from high school sent me a private message via the alumni website. She’s the first person from my high school to contact me. I feel touched, because I thought I was nobody in high school. Yeah, I wasn’t popular at all; I was just another guy in a wheelchair to most of them. :lipsseal: And I was much more introverted than I am now.

“The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Monday that states can be sued for money damages under a landmark federal civil rights law for failing to provide access to the courthouse for people with disabilities.” — [[link removed]]

In my opinion, this is an obvious ruling, not to mention that it is just and a logical outcome. After all, laws such as ADA are made by the government.

Check out “The Cheshire Kat Trading Post” which is very similiar to Swappingtons.com but much more active! :) I joined today, and I have already received 6 requests! :)

My ID there is “Cyberian75″ as well as on SwapSwop.com.
