The phone I have now is so old that it gives out too much white noise — especially with DSL on the line. It gets unbearable sometimes; I can’t hear the person on the other end too well most of the time. :(

I so want a corded-cordless combo telephone. I need a corded one, because I use a headset from Plantronics. There’s just one problem: I’m unemployed. Oh, well. :?

Update (July 2): I ordered it just now as a late birthday present from my brother. You see, he gave me $200 then, but I only spent about $50. So I have $150 to spend. Heh. :D

If you are into animes, as I’m into Dragon Ball series, check out Anime-HQ.com and Anime-Supreme.com! They are torrents sites. :)

My parents take morning walks around the block almost everyday at sunrise for the sake of my father’s health, which he does not like to go on by himself. But that’s not the point of this blog. Continue reading ‘Weirdness’ »

“Yahoo on Wednesday began blocking Cerulean Studios’ Trillian software from communicating with its instant messaging service in its latest step to fence its popular client from third-party integrators.” — [[link removed]]

I say we boycott Yahoo… they are forcing us to download multiple instant messengers.

I’m completely naked right now… heh… with a mini fan on the side. :D For the last few days, it’s been really hot with temperatures rising up to 91 degrees and almost no wind. I hate this freaking heat! :( Without the fan, I couldn’t even breathe too well…

Next day: It’s pretty chilly today… 64 degrees at 1:35PM! o_O

“A forthcoming bill in the U.S. Senate would, if passed, dramatically reshape copyright law by prohibiting file-trading networks and some consumer electronics devices on the grounds that they could be used for unlawful purposes.” — [[link removed]]

Such a bill, in my opinion, would jeopardise the growth of technology and put us in a backward society — especially when the economy is in a slump.

I have been accepted at PSU. I received a letter yesterday as I was leaving for an appointment at the Disability Resource Center where I did an intake, meaning I registered with them to receive their services. Continue reading ‘School, etc.’ »

My Network Interface Card (NIC) finally died on me after clinging onto its life for the last few days. It couldn’t handle the load of BitTorrent (I use Azureus). So I’m directly connected to the DSL modem via an USB cable. I’m gonna buy a Linksys Wireless USB Adapter from eBay for one fifth the regular price ($50 something from Verizon). Too bad I didn’t think of it sooner. Continue reading ‘Bye-bye, NIC’ »

As you can tell, my life has been very uneventful to say the least. On the medical side, I got referred to a new neurologist here in Oregon: Dr. Matthew Brodsky at OHSU. I will see him on August 2. On the education side, I’m waiting to hear from the school about my enrollment, and I have an appointment on this Wednesday with a coordinator at Disability Resource Center which provide services such as notetaking, exam accomadations, etc. Continue reading ‘This and that’ »
