I had a Sega Console System when I was younger in Korea, and I was able to play it with a joystick in a certain position; in fact, there were no controllers like gamepads — it was either a joystick or arcade type controller with a stick and 3 buttons. Neither lasted for too long. Continue reading ‘Joystick’ »

In this dream, I think I was being possessed by spirits. 8-O Continue reading ‘Possessed’ »

I have finally purchased a Playstation 2 Console System through eBay, planning to play — Vertical/Horizontal Scroll Shooting — games like Gradius V with a joystick since I’m only able to use one hand. However, I kept on searching for a few days now… and I finally found ASCII Grip V2 for PS2 which is an one-handed controller. A review of its first version was written by a guy like myself.

I don’t have to worry too much about it anymore, and I probably can enjoy most games now. :)

Update (Jan, 5, 2005): I have learned that some games don’t allow users to change the controller modes (analog/digital), so this controller might not work for all games. I’m gonna try using the regular pad with my arms tied down to my waist. I get more control over my arms and hands in that position. I pray that this would work — especially after I see my neurologist on the 24th for another setting change.

Update (Jan. 13): I may or may not be getting this. I ordered one from ps2cover.com on December 26, 2004, with $6.50 for shipping (airmail), but they still haven’t shipped it out yet. And it took them nearly 2 weeks to reply my e-mails — only after I threatened to report them. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PS2COVER.COM! :x Continue reading ‘PS2 one-handed controller’ »

The movie “Darkness” was so plain boring that I dozed off through most of it. Don’t believe its trailer.

It deserves a F. o_O

I’m selling my wireless router as I received a new Westell VersaLink Gateway from Verizon at free of charge for signing up with their one-year contract. :)

“Internet users may soon be required to pay an additional annual fee for each domain name they own, thanks to a virtually unnoticed requirement that will begin to take effect next year.” — [[link removed]]

I’m not sure why we have to pay an extra fee of 75 cents to help those third-world countries which is exactly what ICANN is forcing us to do. They said they will use one-third of this “tax” without any restrictions… I wonder what they are gonna use it for. I doubt it would be for the world hunger. o_O

After the upgrade, I was supposed to be charged $44.95 a month; however, I noticed a charge of $57.35 on my credit card statement this month, which I called in to inquire about. It turned out to be a mistake on their end, so I got an appropriate credit for it. And since I was on the phone, I signed up for the one-year contract, so I now will be paying around $37 for the 3/768 package. :)

My point is that if you are using Verizon, you should check your bills carefully every month as they make mistakes often.

Now that I’m a little older, I regret many things that I have and have not done in my life. One of them is the relationship that I never thought to develop further than mere friendship despite the fact that she and I had many chances to in high school as well as in college years. The plot of the movie “Ocean’s Twelve” is not so bad, but the pace of it is way too damn slow for my taste.

I will rate it C+. :|
