I recently enrolled into Providence Health Plan (part A and B) in order for me to get a permanent Primary Care Physician, and since I’m new to Providence, I was told that my new PCP must refer me to Dr. Brodsky whom I have seen a couple of times prior to my enrollment with no problems whatsoever. However, OHSU is now refusing the referral with a reason being that Dr. Brodsky does not accept my insurance. So I e-mailed him explaining the situation.
I must see him as he’s the only one in this state who can do DBS adjustments and accepting patients. It’s a waiting game now…
Update (03/14): I was referred to Dr. Mark S. Yerby at St. Vincent’s Hospital who apparently accepts Dystonia patients. I’m so relieved.
