As some you may know, I’ve BroadVoice Internet Phone (VoIP) Service, and the annual contract ends at the end of September. I’m currently enrolled into their Unlimited In-State Plan for $11.15 plus $1.30 tax and $1 for E911 per month. However, I frequently get “…device is not registered…” message which is very annoying, because I’ve to change proxy servers when this happens. And since I’m also using VoIPBuster.com for long-distance and international calling, which offers 4 months of free calls only for 10 euros, I want to cancel BroadVoice and then buy a Korean number from CallWithUs.com for $4.99 a month, which I can make it ring my home number here in US. For callers in Korea, it’d be a local call, not international. But then, BroadVoice cancellation fee within 12 months is $39.95 even though I’m using my own device.
I’d cancel it despite the fee if VoIPButster didn’t have their fair use policy which limits to 300 minutes per week. Still, I’d have to pay over $80 if I don’t cancel it this month. But what if VoIPBuster goes down or even disappears since it’s a beta max company?
Decisions, decisions…
