When you’re bored and up for some games, check out flashgames247.com. They have a wide variety of flash games that you can play for free. My favorite is 3D SWAT.

I was browsing through eBay looking for a WRT54GS version 1, 2 or 3… and quite expectedly, I found this (v1.1) as a “Buy Now” item for only $60 plus $7 shipping. I lost a bid just a few minutes ago for version 1 of this router which was sold for $95 plus $14.98 shipping.
Today must be my lucky day!
The SD/MMC Card in my WRT54GL suddenly stopped working yesterday morning for the second time, and I can’t seem to make it work this time. Their tech support doesn’t respond at all simply because I didn’t purchase it from them, so I asked the seller to contact them for me who has informed me they haven’t replied in over a week now. He also admitted that he got burned by them, meaning he got no support at all which is probably why he sold it. He however gave me a full refund and even apologized on behalf of TekUNIX.
When you buy something from a third party, doesn’t the ownership and warranty get transferred automatically? TekUNIX is indeed a bunch of crooks.
Today’s my real birthday… and I can’t believe I’m already 32! I’m 33 in Korea. I think I’ll stick to being 32.
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
Thanks to an user named Placebo over at the DD-WRT Forum, my OpenVPN now works! Oh yeah!!!
It seems that the parameters have to be initiated sequentially.
EDIT: For some strange reason, the SD Card (/mcc) wasn’t being mounted, so I spent almost half a day trying to figure it out. As a last resort, I recycled the power… problem solved! Dang.
It’s been a week since I blogged, but there isn’t anything new in my life which is staler than ever before. I need some freaking excitement!
Anyway, my uncle has returned to Korea on Tuesday. They’re trying to sell their house there, and immigrate here with that money to start a small business probably in California where the Korean Town is. I do hope they immigrate soon. They were here to obtain their Green Cards.
Oh, yeah, I’m still struggling with OpenVPN. When I solve one problem, another one pops up. Ugh, it’s driving me up the wall! Oh well, I guess I’ll figure it out someday.
I picked up my new eyeglasses today. Transitions Lenses really do turn dark when it detects UV Rays.
Okay, that’s enough for random thoughts.
“The Wi-Fi security protocol WEP should not be relied on to protect sensitive material, according to three German security researchers who have discovered a faster way to crack it. They plan to demonstrate their findings at a security conference in Hamburg this weekend.” — [full article]
Not surprisingly, they’ve proven again that WEP is indeed unsecured; in fact, it’s now crackable in 3 seconds. I’m so glad I’ll be using VPN.
I’ve an appointment with an optometrist this afternoon for a pair of new eyeglasses. The one I currently have is over 5 years old and is full of scratches, not to mention that it slides down way too easily. I’ve been wanting to get Transitions Lenses for several years now, but I had no good reasons to change eyeglasses until now. Anyway, it darkens when UV Rays are detected, so I don’t need a separate sunglass — not that I wear one since it is such a hassle for me. Continue reading ‘Transitions Lenses’ »
