One of my favorite cartoons when I was young was a Japanese one called Crayon Shin-Chin, and I found it on YouTube! While the quality isn’t that great, I STILL LOVE IT! :D I prefer the subtitled ones with original voices, though. Now only if I can find Galaxy Express 999

EDIT: JACKPOT! Its main site is at live-evil.org. :)

“…recently a team of scientists announced they had made artificial sperm from human bone marrow…” — [full article]

If women are to create artificial sperm using their own bone marrow, wouldn’t they be essentially cloning themselves? I mean, the sperm and the egg would contain the same DNA since they are both created by the same person… right? If that’d be the case, wouldn’t it cause mental illnesses like the old royal European families who married within their blood ties? And what happens to natural selection? Scary…

While browsing YouTube, I found Happy Slip, and she’s just too hilarious! She sings pretty good as well. Her site is here. :) Continue reading ‘Happy Slip’ »

You know our dog, Dori? According to my ol’ man, he’s having a fabulous life under him. Give me a break… PLEASE! Continue reading ‘Dog fate’ »

I’ve Early-Onset Generalized Dystonia which basically means I’ve a little bit of everything throughout my entire body. I’ve had it since I was an infant. My ankles started to turn inward, and I started crying 20 hours a day for about a year. This was when I lost the ability to walk. It went into remission for about 7 years until my maternal grandmother passed away. The “Dystonic attack” lasted for about 2 years, and I’ve had several more until I was 20. I lost some abilities each time. I believe it was caused by a trauma when I was less than 6 months of age. Continue reading ‘Dystonia – Mime Video’ »

I finally gave in and signed up with Mozy to backup my important files. I chose it over XDrive, even though the latter offers 5GB of free space, because it encrypts the files on its server. So, please use this link if you’re going to sign-up. It’ll get me extra 256MB of free space! :)

However, I don’t like the fact that its app is “always-on” as a service and its drive is viewable even with its service disabled.

It feels like someone’s shoving a screwdriver up my upper back right between the shoulder blades. I can’t even take deep breaths because of the pain. I think I sprained my muscles yesterday when I avoided myself from running/banging into someone with my wheelchair at Costco.

For the past 10 months or so, my driving has been pretty bad, and the same spot has been killing me when I awoke in the morning. I hope it’ll go away soon.

One of the duties that I’ve to do for work is to backup the database and web files to an external drive twice a week — remotely. Since our server is running Fedora Core 6, I use VMware Player on my laptop to run Fedora Core 7 inside Windows XP. And I use “rdiff-backup” to backup stuffs from the server. This combination is just perfect for me as I mainly use Windows for other stuffs.

VMware is also great when you want to just try a software out without installing it on your main OS.

Just thought I’d share. :)

He and his wife came this morning to attend a convention event. Since toddlers under 2 years of age get free flights, he brought his twins as well. It will be quite noisy around here for the next 5 days, that’s for sure. Continue reading ‘Brother’s visit 2’ »
