I’ve the Verizon FiOS 5/2 package and been using VoIPBuster to place long-distance and international calls for months just fine. For the last few days, however, their service has been very sporadic. PingPlotter revealed that packets are being lost at several hops (routers, servers, etc.) operated by CW.NET, so I contacted them about it who in turn told me to contact my own ISP and have them open a trouble ticket — meaning they only deal with big entities. So I did on DSLReports.com, but I’ve a bad feeling about this. I never had issues like this before…
If this doesn’t get resolved, I’ll have to upgrade my plan with BroadVoice which costs around $30 a month. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow.
UPDATE: They’re both telling me to contact the other. I knew this would happen… shit.
