As I’ve said, I’ve a Nokia 6215i. And I’ve purchased an USB Cable Kit from eBay for transferring pictures, ringtones, etc. However, I can’t seem to find any info on ringtone requirements for this phone, such as size, length, bitrate and refresh rate. Also, where’s the port for a memory card? Is it the one right in the middle of the phone? It only has about 3MB of free memory, so I think it can only take 5 to 10 photos.

I got a new camera phone from Verizon Wireless as a free upgrade for signing up a 2-year contract. It’s Nokia 6215i which has speakerphone and camera capabilities. I’ve a question, though: How do you download pictures to a PC? It doesn’t have a USB connection or anything like that.

EDIT: Apparently, I’ve to spend $.25/picture to send it to My PIX Place in order for me to download it to my PC. Bleh!

EDIT 2: Just found out that its charger port is also an USB port. But then, I need to purchase the cable and software separately for around $32. Bleh!

I had to attend this resource fair today for work to promote our organization. I was there only for about 3 hours, but talking to people can be exhausting for me — especially in a noisy environment — because of my speech impairment. I do okay after a while, though… just gotta push myself and not get discouraged. Anyway, there were a lot of county organizations, so I guess it’s gong to get a little better around here since the county is getting quite active within the disability community.

APlus.net offered us a brand new dedicated server with upgraded hardware and software only for $11 more a year plus 12% discount. So I transfered all the web files, e-mails, etc. But all the pages were returning blanks! After hours of troubleshooting and e-mail our current developer, it turned out that PHP was installed without PEAR Library, and he suggested they re-install PHP altogether. I had my doubts about that, so after much Googling, I found out that I only had to install “php-pear” and install its child-packages (DB, Mail, etc.). Our previous developer depended way too heavily on open-sourced codes in my opinion. So anyway, it was running great until one of my co-worker informed me at 7AM that mail was not working. Arg! It turned out to be a firewall issue. Then, after shutting down our old server, mail went down again! Turned out that they simply forgot to create new DNS records for the new server.

I hope everything’s settled down now…

Now I know why “Species: The Awakening” was sent directly to DVD. It appears to be a very low-budget film with complete new casts and no real connections with previous Species films in terms of the storyline. Nothing much to see except a few nude scenes. :D

I rated this a D-. :|

A friend of my mother treated us all to a brunch today… to an expensive buffet place some 60+ miles away. The whole round-trip took about 4 hours, but since it’s free, I’m not complaining much. :D Nevertheless, I just don’t understand people who travel that far of a distance just for food — especially for buffet.

I’m the type who prefers quality over quantity. :)

I had to attend another NikeGo event this morning for work. The weather was around 40°, and it was partially rainy; fortunately, they had tents set up with heaters, so I was actually perspiring a little. I sure hope I didn’t catch a cold!

Up until a few years ago, I used to think that I’d lead somewhat of a normal life; that is, get married, maybe even have a kid and things like that. Continue reading ‘Grim realization’ »
