I actually upgraded a couple of days ago and took “nofollow” out from the code — both manually. While I didn’t have any problem finding stuffs as they’re logically placed, I already don’t like a few things:

  1. The word count patch doesn’t work anymore, which they’re not willing to update;
  2. Categories and Comments/Pings options are located underneath the text box, so I’ve to scroll down;
  3. and image gallery is now built into the core which should have been made as an extension, because I’m sure there are lots of people like me who don’t use it much.

Other than that, I think it performs much smoother. :)

My 5th aunt’s husband called from Korea to let us know that Mother’s only brother passed away this morning (GMT +9). He’s been suffering from some form of a cancer and severe diabetes. Although he hasn’t led an ethical life and I haven’t seen him for over two decades, I do feel sad… more so when I think about how Mother would really feel in her heart. :|

Fortunately, I’m not as twisted as the guy in the video, but I do have a tendency to turn / look to the left, and the left side of my body is worse than the other. Compared to that guy, however, I’m a lot worse in that I’m not able to use both of my arms and walk on my own. Further, that guy is almost normal after receiving the Deep Brain Stimulation surgery.

MacGyverI loved watching Knight Rider as I’ve mentioned before, but if you ask me for my best childhood TV show, I’d have to say it was MacGyver. It wasn’t just a TV show, as I’m sure many others would agree with me, he was a hero figure of mine. The ability to make anything out of ordinary things using his handy Swiss Army Knife was just astonishing to me. Who would have thought to stop a chemical leak with chocolate bars!? I think he was a chemical engineer now that I think about it.

I think I wanted to be just like him when I grew up which obviously didn’t happen. :lol:

When this started in 1985, I was in Korea; fortunately, it also aired there dubbed if I recall correctly. I don’t remember watching its last episode in 1992, so I must have missed several years of it after 1988 when I immigrated here to U.S. probably because it wasn’t dubbed in Korean or it was on a premium channel. Now, I can catch up online here thanks to CBS and Veoh.

I’m now selling my banner spaces for EntreCard credits here.  It costs 500 credits per week.  It costs around 200 a day, so it’s a great deal!  It starts and ends on Sundays. :)

EDIT: I don’t do this anymore.

According to this, Bush and Obama are distant cousins as well as a few other politicians and celebrities like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It’s all in the blood, I say. Or it could be a secret agenda by a few big powerful families. Or maybe they are all aliens whose purpose is to drive humanity to its extinction through wars and such. :lol:

I’m a Korean myself, but I do think that the way they treat animals is beyond cruel and inhumane. Not everyone is like that of course, and I’d like to believe that most dog meat eaters are oblivious of how they are killed; however, such markets exist because of high demand. As a society, such cruelty to animals should be abolished and strict bans should be enacted. Some may argue that it’s a “cultural” difference, but life is life no matter where you are from and how you put it. We aren’t that different from dogs and cats, and they do have emotions as we do. The same applies to cows and pigs, but they have less consciousness and intelligence than cats and dogs; besides, cows and pigs have been treated as such for millions of years, and we don’t raise them as pets. Dogs have an equivalent IQ of a three-year-old human child if I recall correctly.

Don’t they know what karma is? And just what do they think their children are learning from watching them?

EDIT: Thanks to Ivy for letting me know, loading problem has been fixed.  Please do contact me when such problems occur.

So funny… :lol:

Isn’t she cute? I think she’s cute both in appearance and personality — and a little neurotic. She’s my type of a gal. :)

This kid is as good as some adult guitarists. Look at how fast and accurately his fingers move! His parents must be musicians or something…

Seeing Reggy’s one, I took mine. I like to learn new things… but more education? I don’t know. :|
