Power or electricity could be transferred wireless sometime near in the future using microwaves according to this article. Think of all the possibilities… laptops with no power adaptors, desktops with no power cords, true mobile computing and communications with no chargers, etc. Best of all, maybe someday I won’t have to go in for a battery replacement surgery.
According to this article, we humans faced an extinction some 70,000 years ago with a population of only around 2,000. I wonder which species would have evolved if we were extinct then…

Before Galaxy Express 999, Dragon Ball and Crayon Shin-chin, I used to love watching Astro Boy (a.k.a. Atom in Korea). Some of you may be too young for this as it aired in late ’70s or early ’80s when I was around 6; therefore, I vaguely remember it myself. The main plot of it is very similar to the movie “Artificial Intelligence: AI” which is one of my favorite films of all time.
Anyway, Astro Boy is available online thanks to Veoh and Hulu.
I’ve been trying to get into YPN for months now. While I did receive the confirmation e-mails, I’m yet to receive any approval / rejection notice after about four submissions in the last 3 months or so. So if you’re in it, an invitation would be very appreciated.

A lot of SPAMs are getting through their filter today. I normally don’t see ANY SPAM in my Thunderbird inbox, but I’ve already gotten 4 of them so far today. Is it simply down, or are spammers getting smarter? I hope it’s the former.
