I had an appointment today with my new neurologist whom I think is much better than the previous one. He’s not arrogant, at least not as much. Continue reading ‘Settings Change and New Neurologist’ »

While my hosting company was transferring user accounts to their new server, I believe they made a mistake of using backed up data from the 21st; consequently, I’ve lost about 30 comments for “my birthday” post and 5 to 6 posts. Continue reading ‘Hosting Problems’ »

The ol’ man has gone fishing again all the way to Tacoma, Washington, in his 4×4 Jeep which eats a lot of gas. He doesn’t care how high gas prices are, and he seriously thinks we can live off eating fish… Continue reading ‘Gone Fishing Again’ »

Writing this feels a bit childish… but yeah, I turned 33 today — 34 Korean age. Continue reading ‘My Birthday’ »

No, not MY funeral. I meant a funeral to attend. The mother of the family friend passed away on Sunday. She’s been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease for a few years, and the muscles in her esophagus weren’t working too well lately that made swallowing difficult. According to what I heard, her heart gave out while she was choking on a piece of fruit. She was 83 years old. May her rest in peace.

Her funeral will be held tomorrow which will be my third fourth funeral to attend. The first last two were for the fathers of my friends in college, and I made a fool out of myself at the very first second one. I just didn’t know what to say. I’ll keep my mouth shut tomorrow.

In 33 years of my life, I’ve had to attend only two three funerals. I guess that speaks my social life, eh!?

EDIT: I completely forgot the one of my friend in elementary school, so tomorrow’s one will actually be my fourth one.

This is pretty accurate indeed, and even my weakness is right on the money… which I consider to be my strong point as well. I also like squares, which I use often use to calm myself.

The ol’ man is mad, simply because we didn’t wait for him to return from from fishing… until midnight! It’s not like we played around all day. Mother even repaired cracked cements in the garage that he’s too lazy and unwilling to do. Besides, neither did we push him to go or told him to return at that hour. He went for his own enjoyment all the way to Tacoma, Washington, when gas prices are so high. And he’s mad!?

Give me a damn break…

I had another flare of andropause (depression, irritability, etc.) yesterday.

Humidity was at almost 50%, dog was barking endlessly, the ol’ man was yelling at the dog… I just wanted to pack up and go deep into a mountain far away from this civilization if I could. When I awoke in the morning, I had a severe body ache for about 10 minutes. It felt like I got beaten up. It was my depression hitting me hard.

I was so irritable and depressed that I didn’t want to do anything… everything seemed pointless. I think it started to flare up a few days ago actually, and it just exploded yesterday. And others around me added more salt to the injury. Even my mother didn’t know I was having a “breakdown.” She’d be so dense sometimes.

I feel a little better today, though.

If you’re a member of EntreCard, you may have noticed their new “supply & demand” system. Otherwise, they now calculate the cost of your ad space by multiplying each of the requests in the queue by 2; e.g., if there are 5 requests, it’s calculated as 2*2*2*2*2 or simply 2^5 which is 32.  So when an ad finishes, the cost becomes half of 32 unless another request comes in.  As you can imagine, most popular blogs would benefit from this new system if — and only if — people are willing to invest more of their lives (time) to pay for them.  Those popular ones now cost over 10,000!  It was getting difficult to find blogs to advertise on even before this change… it’s almost impossible now!

To make this work, they’d have to increase the credit per drop to maybe 5.

Do you like the new system?  I sure don’t. :|
