Most movies based on, or inspired by, true criminal events never turn out that good — especially psycho-thrillers like “The Strangers.”  Its plot is based on a true event, so I didn’t expect it to have a point; however, it didn’t have enough scary elements, and the pace of it is too slow in my opinion.  Nevertheless, it does have excellent sound effects (eerie music) which make it worthwhile.

I’ll rate it an C+. :|

As stated here, depression has physical symptoms. I can say I’ve at least 4 symptoms from that list. Whenever it’s going to be bad a day, I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck when I awake in the morning. It disappears pretty quickly, but I become very irritable as the day progresses. Like old folks with bad joints being able to forecast rainy weather, I can tell if it’s going to be a bad day. Like today. :(

“Try to think positive” is one of the worst things you can say to people with depression. Just let them be — nothing can console them. Otherwise, you’d make it even worse.

The movie “Jumper” is just a typical teenage flick with a weak plot and nothing fancy. Period. A history of Jumpers would have been nice.  The concept of instant teleportation is pretty interesting, though.

I’ll rate it an D. :|

Religion is a product of human evolution, says this article.  According to the computer model used, we evolved into what we are because of our faiths of our religions.

I completely agree.  Without religions, there would be total chaos in this world as we would not have any type of morality; in other words, we would have no reasons to live righteously.

What do you think?

But I never played any lottery in my entire life…

According to this article, another couple put their infant up for sale on Craigslist.

Whether it was a joke or not, how can anyone think of selling a life made from their own flesh and blood?  What’s wrong with people these days?  And they didn’t expect to get caught?  Sheesh!

I’m getting frequent diarrhea, nausea and my stool is a little black. Whenever I eat something, I get diarrhea or at least feel like going. I’m sure it’s not Helicobacter Pylori as I’m not losing weight or appetite. It’s been like this for over 2 weeks now which has gotten worse from this morning.

I’m planning to take some antibiotics Chinese herbal medicine for a few days and see what happens, because I don’t wanna go to the hospital. It’s such a hassle.

As an “Indiana Jones” movie, this film is excellent with a lot of action in jungles as its predecessors. Steven Spielberg did a good job keeping the original essence. However, he made sure to insert his “trademark” into the plot which doesn’t go well with its essence in my opinion. It’d have been better if he was able or allowed to elaborate it a little further… like the history of “it.” Also, it looks like this one is the last for Harrison Ford as Dr. Jones.

Overall, this is a good movie. I’ll rate it an B+. :)

I’m switching to TopHostingCenter under their Rudolf plan since Ivy reviewed them to be good. The reason for this abrupt switch is because I exceeded the bandwidth limit again yesterday. Continue reading ‘Switching Hosting Company’ »

I maintain a mailing list for work which is divided into multiple tables under different categories; i.e., County, State, Public, etc. Today, I had to combine them all to send out an electronic newsletter, but I couldn’t figure out an easy way to do so. After a little research, I found out that I’d use the UNION Statement for such a task as a query.  Remember to change its type to “make-table” query.

So if you need to combine similar data from multiple tables with no relationships, the UNION Statement is your best friend. :)
