According to this article, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake could hit Southern California in the next 30 years. This scenario is rather quite chilling if you ask me.

There’s a new type of DOS attack, according to this article, that can actually damage hardware via flashing. Basically, the attacker flashes the hardware with a corrupted filmware, rendering it useless.
I wonder if OpenWRT is vulnerable…
Maybe I don’t like fantasy, but this movie is based too much on a fantasy and/or an old Chinese/Korean fairy tale. And its plot is pretty idiotic if you ask me, because it’s a mixture of American (main character), Chinese (kung-fu), Japanese (chi [chakra]) and Korean (monkey king tale) cultures which weren’t put together well enough by its writer/director. I’ve seen better films of Jackie Chan and Jet Li. This definitely isn’t one of them.
I’ll rate it an D+.
…and I hate it! Today’s highest temperature is 101°F — almost 20° higher than yesterday. It’s too abrupt of a change with no time to adapt. On top of that, humidity is also pretty high. I like Autumn as it’s not too hot or cold.

Call me a bastard, but cancer is better than Alzheimer’s Disease for family members. With cancer, at least you know when you’re gonna go — know what I mean?
As far as I know, Sliders was the first TV science fiction series to introduce string theory and multiple dimensions. As a SCI-FI fan and a geek, I loved this show… and now its first season is available online at Hulu!
I firmly believe in parallel universes, and I console myself sometimes by thinking that I might be living a completely different life in another dimension.
Do you believe in parallel universes?
It seems to me that whenever there’s a natural disaster (earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis, etc.) these days, the number of deaths are usually in the tens of thousandth. The frequency of such disasters is also on the rise in my opinion. I’m not sure if global warming is causing all of them, but at this rate, we will soon face the same fate as dinosaurs did. If we don’t destroy each other first through wars, that is. It’s the wrath of God if you ask me.
