Canes that can detect nearby objects and warn its users with blindness; brain implants that allow patients to control external devices just by thinking; and shoes that can protect the knees. Read about them here!

I doubt I can use those implants since the synapses in my brain are faulty… :(

Who wouuld have thought that frog eggs are so useful?  Scientists are fusing them with brain cells of Autisic patients to study the disorder.  According to New Scientist, the same technique can also be used to study other neurological disorders.

Now that stem cells can be obtained from regular cells, I’m all for the stem cell research.  Someone may already be doing it regardless of its ethical isssues or the legality of it, so why not speed it up if it’d help millions of people?  I believe the end justifies the means.  Do you?

According to c|net news article, the pattern-matching technology that antivirus software use today is obsolete… or it’s going to be soon because of the sheer number of ever-increasing malware.  Many vendors are looking at whitelisting technology as a solution.

As some of you know, EntreCard very recently partnered up with SezWho. While it may be a great tool for social networking, I simply do not wish to be rated by others. Since the main point of this site is my life, it’d be like letting others rate my life. I also don’t want my comments to be rated. Everyone has their own opinions as well as unique writing styles, so they should not be rated by anyone.

What’s your opinion? It won’t be rated… ;)

I just saw “Hancock” at the theatre, and I must say it’s pretty damn good.   Comedy and science fiction don’t always go together well, but the director of this film did an exllent job.  And Will Smith was just perfect for the character.  A little more action would have been nice, though.

I’ll rate it an A-.  Go see it for yourself! :)
